You can delete specific types of data from your AntiVape account while keeping your account active. This gives you control over your personal information and quit journey.
📱 Delete Data in the AntiVape App
The easiest way to delete your data is directly in the app:
- Open the AntiVape app
- Delete journal entries or saved content in their respective histories

Delete individual or all journal entries from your history
Favorite Passages
Remove saved content and bookmarked passages
Chat History

✉️ Request Deletion via Email
If you can't access the app or need help with data deletion, contact us:
Include in your email:
- Subject: Data Deletion Request
- Your registered email address
- Specific data you want deleted
- Confirm: "I want to keep my account active"
Response time: We'll reply within 48 hours and complete deletion within 7 days.
Data Retention Timeline
Immediate
Data is removed from your account instantly when you delete it in the app
30 Days
Permanently deleted from our servers within 30 days
90 Days
Removed from backup systems within 90 days
Note: Some data may be retained for legal compliance (e.g., subscription records for tax purposes).
Types of Data
Personal Content (Can be deleted)
- ✅ Journal entries and personal notes
- ✅ Saved reader passages and favorites
- ✅ Chat history with Aida
These can be deleted individually while keeping your account active.
Account Information (Requires account deletion)
- ❌ Email address (needed for login)
- ❌ User ID (system identifier)
- ❌ Subscription records (required by law)
To delete this data, you must delete your entire account.
⚠️ Important
Data deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.
Before deleting important data (like quit progress or journal entries), consider exporting it first:
Settings → Profile → Export My Data
